At the end of March, Sylvia & Peter retired after 31 years and Taw Vale B&B has closed as accommodation offering both bed & breakfast.

We would like to thank all our guests, many regulars who’ve become good friends, for both their custom and company.
Please contact us as usual if you feel we may still be able to offer help with your visiting needs, as we aim to maintain some space on an accommodation-only basis.

Built in the 1860s with the coming of the nearby railway, Taw Vale is a large family home that provides guest accommodation in a relaxed setting.
Taw Vale is ideally positioned for a holiday exploring Devon, visiting the Cathedral and University city of Exeter, or touring the many National Trust properties that lie within convenient driving distance.
Taw Vale is also an ideal overnight stop when cycling the nationally recognised route from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Alternatively, you may be en route to Cornwall or on business in Crediton and its locality.
Our B&B is conveniently close to the centre of the attractive market town of Crediton, with its historic ecclesiastical tradition. The Cathedral city of Exeter is a short drive or, with the railway station a 2 minute walk way, Exeter is only a 10 minute rail journey. The rail service is also a great way to travel to Barnstaple and the North Devon coast whilst the stunning National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor are also readily accessible.
